Busy Girl

I have been a busy girl for the past week or sew!  My mother-in-law's birthday is today and I wanted to finish a "Trip Around the World" for her.  It was done, just before the deadline!  She and her gal friends think it is lovely and are very proud of their newbie quilter.  By the way, I am wondering how long I can go on claiming to be a newbie?  I've been at it for almost three years now but I kind of  like being able to blame all my mistakes on being a newbie!

You know how I promised that I would learn how to insert pictures and text in the order I want them.  Well, as is obvious, I still haven't managed to figure it out.  I am using Blogger.  Can anyone suggest a good tuturial or help site where I can learn to do all the fancy dancy things I see on others' blogs?  Or at least how to insert pictures and type text.

On another note....I also started working on an Atkinson pattern called Lucky Stars.  I think I am going to like it.  I'll include a picture but your guess is as good as mine where in the post it will be!

  1. I love that Trip around the world! It is amazing done in Half square Triangles. And your stars look great. I think you can change your title from beginner quilter to Accomplished quilter! Very Nice

  3. Great stuff Denise! Your "Trip Around the World" is supreme. Actually looks way better in the real world, as opposed to in the photo. The color scheme worked so well.

You are getting to be a master quilter, if you ask me.
